Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning news anchor for WCBD TV and acted as a crime reporter. O'Dell's articles in Charleston on how Charleston police handled DUI cases in a manner that was lenient, resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The inquiry led to a stronger direction for state officials. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell was then employed by NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. O'Dell is the anchor of choice at Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor in NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. In addition, she hosted for the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
